3 reasons why now is a good time to sell your home in October and November and December

A lot of homeowners will consider waiting until next spring or summer to list their homes on the market instead of listing in the fall. They feel that the fact that there are more people in the market during the spring and summer makes them better times to sell. While it’s true that there are more buyers in the market during that time, there are also tons of other sellers in the market as well, increasing competition for everyone.

Here at the Shore and the greater Atlantic County are, the fall months have been historically strong markets for sales. That means there is opportunity for you as a seller. Here are three reasons why you should consider listing in the fall:

1. There’s less competition. A lot of homeowners will end up waiting until spring for the reasons we mentioned above. With those people waiting, you can take advantage of the market right now and have the opportunity to sell quicker and for more money than you might be able to in the spring.

2. Buyers are motivated. Many of them are focused on moving before the holidays. This gives them a sense of urgency. If your home is on the market now, you can capture these kinds of buyers who need to buy a property and close on it before the holidays or before the end of the year for tax purposes.

3. Your home’s photos could look fantastic. Yards and the changing colors in the trees make for great photos. Your home’s first showing is online, and great fall photos will leave more buyers interested in taking a look at your home.
